Russian Censorship and Fake News

It is amazing to learn that most Russians have no idea what is happening in Ukraine. As reported in my Pioneer Press newspaper, “[They] refuse to believe that Russian soldiers could bomb innocent people or even that a war is taking place at all.” The Russian position is that Putin’s army is conducting a limited operation with the honorable mission of de-Nazifying Ukraine (I have no idea what that implies). Of course, Russian television is highly censored. They don’t show any of the terrible things going on in Ukraine; and they also have banned Facebook and Twitter.

I hope you know that this censorship is also happening in America; maybe not with Ukraine, but with other things that the media from people. But as soon as this country is taken over by socialism, believe me, we will be in the dark much like Russia is. But I hope and pray not.

It is interesting that Putin is now saying that He will jail anyone who is propagating fake news. He means the news about what is really going on in Ukraine. This is the inverted big lie—as I have previously written about. It is a classical Hitler move, when they lie to cover up their lies. We see this all the time among Democrats. Very sad for America.

Personalities in the Tribulation: The Great Harlot

Stephen Nielsen's avatarStudying Bible Prophecy

The harlot is not a person, but is a false religious system. And she is called great, I suppose, because she is able to influence and control so many people. One may think that the false prophet is the leader of this false religious system, but I don’t think so. Though he will no doubt have some influence and interaction with her, Scripture makes no mention of any connection. In fact, since the false prophet seems to show up just when the harlot is put out of commission (at the mid-point of the Tribulation), he may be her replacement. Here are four points pertaining to the Great Harlot.

The Great Harlot’s Identity

She is called a great harlot because she “sits on many waters,” which means that she reigns over many “peoples and multitudes and nations and tongues” (Rev. 17:1, 15). And she is also called “the great city, which…

Our Prayers Will Fail If We Don’t Pray According to the Bible

Stephen Nielsen's avatarPrayer A to Z

Here are the last seven reason why our prayers fail, beginning with our neglect of the Word of God.

Teachings on Prayer – We don’t let the Bible teach us how to pray.  Everything in the Bible was written for our instruction (Rom. 15:14).  All the prayers of the Bible and all the teachings on prayer, all the stories of how people prayed and how they had faith to pray (Heb. 13:7) are our teachers on how to pray.  If we fail to read the Bible and heed it’s teachings about prayer, we can’t expect to know how to pray; therefore, we will certainly fail in prayer.

Unity – We lack unity.  Prayers will always fail when there is no unity in the body of Christ.  For where there is no unity in the body of Christ there is also no unity with Christ.  And where there…

A Look at Capitalism, Socialism, Marxism, Fascism, and Communism

For a long time now, I have wanted to write a blog on these isms. Some of them are hard to understand, because they are so diverse and obscure. And they seem to collide with each other; for instance, it seems that Marxism and Communism are almost the same. And, in addition to just being able to understand them, I have a growing concern for knowing why some people, esp. fascist leaders seem to be so infatuated with socialism and communism—like Putin. Why does he love it so much?

Well anyway, I intend here to take these isms one at a time, get their definitions and meanings, and then also to show their differences. Then I will attempt to show the digression of movement from one ism to another, starting with capitalism and ending with communism. Then last, I hope to tell you why I think some people, especially fascists are so drawn to Communism.

Capitalism is an economic system by which private ownership is the means of production. Capitalism, more than any other system provides personal incentives for investments and economic growth; and it also will make one feel good with a sense of pride in his achievements.

Capitalism like no other system has biblical support. We see this most in the creation account, where humans are made in God’s image, and therefore are given a creation mandate and to make the earth productive. Likewise, Scripture affirms the validity of private property rights, of entrepreneurship, and of achieving personal wealth by wise production skills.

Socialism is a system that is based on government ownership of all property, and the means of production (such as the raw materials, tools, factories, and labor) are also owned and controlled by the state.

I think socialists would say that the good of this system is that it draws people together to work together in order to meet individual need. And they would also say that it provides that all people will be cared for and all will share in the profits equally. Likewise, all people they say, will be paid the same regardless of what skills they have.

Marxism was named after Karl Marx. It is a system and a theory that encourages the working class of capitalism to rise up and rebel against their capitalist bosses in order to overturn capitalism in favor of communism. According to Marx, every society is divided into social classes and conflict is necessary between the classes, which will eventually result in the glorious classless communism.

Communism is much like socialism but it goes further. In communism there is no individual freedom. Everything is controlled and owned by the state. Its goal is to produce a classless society.

Fascism is a system with a party and a government led by a dictator. Hitler as well as Mussolini and Lenin were fascists. They ruled by forcefully and violently suppressing any opposition, and they controlled all industry and commerce by force. They often used racism and slavery to control people.

Knowing the differences?

I think we can see that capitalism is the most godly and best system if not abused. That is, it is a good system if the bosses will pay the workers what they deserve and if they do not get power hungry.

Socialism, though they try to be fair to everyone, is a system without freedom and personal incentive—which may result in unhappiness and depression. Socialism may be considered a middle stage in the transition from capitalism to communism.

Marxism is also in the middle between capitalism and communism. It revolts against capitalism in order to achieve communism. Also, in many ways it is like socialism. It is actually a revolutionary socialism, which is energized by fascism (like Mussolini). Likewise, the Nazis were socialists, extreme socialists, pushed along by an extreme fascist leader, Hitler.

Communism is regarded as a classless society; however, I think there are so many negatives: there is no personal freedom, no incentive to work, and are always fearful of authority.

Why are some people so drawn to socialism and communism?

It is easy to see why some people are drawn to socialism. It is because they think they will be better cared for—free healthcare, free education, etc. But, for those who think this way, they are deceived. And they are taken in because they are lazy. They haven’t learned the value of work and taking pride in their work. They would rather depend on the government to feed and clothe them and to tell them what to do.

I’m not sure why people are drawn to communism. Perhaps they think it will be like a utopian society. But that will not happen until Christ comes; and people should know that a communist leader will always be a cruel fascist.

And the only reason why leaders like Putin love communism is because they are hungry for power and control. Look at what he is doing now. He has been plotting to capture Ukraine for years. Why? Maybe he just likes the hilly country. Or maybe he just likes the feeling of having power over people. It is all very sick and selfish. Certainly, he is not thinking of anyone besides himself. He is very antichrist-like.

Personalities in the Tribulation: The False Prophet

Stephen Nielsen's avatarStudying Bible Prophecy

In Revelation 13:11, he is referred to as “another beast,” in reference to the beast in verse one. Moreover, Revelation thirteen, verses one through ten speaks of the Antichrist, and verses eleven through eighteen speaks of the false prophet. The first beast comes out of the sea, and the second beast comes out of the earth. There have been so many different ideas as to what this means, so I think I will just skip that part of it.

However, the second part of verse eleven is clear: the false prophet has two horns like a lamb, and he speaks as a dragon. This tells us that he is weaker than the Antichrist, who has ten horns; and it also tells us that he comes on as being gentle—like Jesus. Hence, he will masquerade as the true Lamb of God, yet he is deceptive, for he…

We Fail In Prayer When We Are Not Exposed To Real Needs

Stephen Nielsen's avatarPrayer A to Z

Here are six ways we may fail in prayer. The first failure listed is that we don’t let ourselves be exposed to many of the real needs around us.

Needs – We don’t see the real needs.  One of the reasons why we fail in prayer is because our prayers are not specific enough to meet the real needs of people.  It is possible that our prayers are too much for ourselves and not enough for others, too heavenly and not enough on the earth.  We may pray thanking God for all the beautiful things, but we don’t have eyes to see the sin, the suffering, and all the pain on earth.  Therefore, because of this neglect, we lack compassion for others and our prayers don’t carry the burden of their needs.  What value then is our praying except to make ourselves feel good; but in the end…

Censorship is Here

Yesterday I stopped at Barnes and Noble to see if the book The Great Reset, by Glen Beck had come in. No, it hadn’t. And I also noticed that all of the good books I like to read were nowhere to be found—books like The Russia Hoax and Witch Hunt, by Greg Jarret, and books by Mark Levin and by David Horowitz, and by Dinesh D’Souza. I walked around and looked again. Nope, they were gone. I was a little surprised, but not really. I have suspected that it would happen, that books stores would start censoring books that the government (or Big Tech) doesn’t want us to read, because they don’t want us to know the truth. It’s all part of the Great Reset and eventual Communism. Yes, certain evil, fascist people want to control us, to control the world.

The main fascist will be the Antichrist. I wonder who he is and where he is and how old he is. And do the main leaders of the Great Reset have him in mind to be the world leader? Are they now grooming him?

Well anyway, Half Price Books still have some of the books I want. I recently bought three books by D’Souza there. And I am looking there almost every day to get more. I think all truth-seeking Christians should be diligent to buy all the books they see now before its too late, because censorship is approaching fast, and in some places its already here.

Personalities in the Tribulation: The Antichrist – Part 2

Stephen Nielsen's avatarStudying Bible Prophecy

The Antichrist is a prominent figure and the leader of all the evil that goes on in the Tribulation. Our information about him comes from three different biblical books: Daniel, 2 Thessalonians, and Revelation. (In part 1 you can read about his origin and evil character.)

His evil works

We will note his evil works in the following points:

He will always be working to build up his military might. He will use most of his money and resources for military weapons and equipment, and he will give great honor and authority to all who acknowledge him (Dan. 11:38-39).

He will war against any and all countries that are against him. Here are four examples:

1. At the beginning of the Tribulation, the first seal reveals to us a white horse; and its rider carried a bow without arrows. This tells us that the Antichrist went out to conquer by…

We Fail in Prayer When We Don’t Pray God’s Way

Stephen Nielsen's avatarPrayer A to Z

Failure is a tough word. We may not like the idea that we can fail in prayer. But when we don’t pray God’s way and when we don’t allow the Holy Spirit to help us pray, that guarantees that we will fail in prayer. Here are seven ways many Christians will fail in prayer.

God’s way – We don’t pray God’s way.  You will definitely fail in prayer if you insist on praying your own way instead of God’s way.  We all naturally tend to pray to impress others.  God wants us to pray, however, not to impress anyone or to show them how righteous we are, but simply to receive from Him what we need and what He desires to give us.

Jesus has instructed us to pray in this way: “Our Father in heaven, hallowed be Your name.  Your kingdom come Your will be done on…
