Update: My Complaints

Talking too Loud!

Today I’m going to do some complaining. I hope you don’t mind too much. Ha ha.

Talking Too Loud

I like to sit in my favorite restaurant in the morning for breakfast and read. So, I like it quiet. I don’t mind normal conversation, but there are always a few people that talk too loudly. Their voice is heard almost no matter where I sit, and it’s hard to concentrate on my reading. It’s very annoying! I almost want to say something to them, but I don’t want to embarrass them. You know, it’s almost as if they want people to hear them. It’s like they take pride in being heard by many people. Maybe they have a secret desire to be a preacher or a politician or a comedian—but never get the chance.

Derek Chauvin

I’m not a fan of his, but I think he got a bum deal. I don’t think he is guilty of murder. He was just doing his job. In fact, he acted in accordance with how he was trained. When Floyd resisted arrest, Chauvin used an approved method of restraint.

Last night I listened to a segment on Newsmax. I heard that it has recently been found that there was no evidence that Chauvin killed Floyd. Yes, there was never any scientific evidence that his knee caused any trauma to Floyd. There was No life-threatening injury identified.” In fact, did you know that the actual prosecutors did not believe that any of the officers should have been criminally charged? They thought the case should have been thrown out for lack of evidence. It was suggested that since Floyd had 16.6 grams of Fentanyl in his system, maybe that was more the cause of his death, since 2 grams is considered to be a lethal dose.

Then why and how was Chauvin convicted of murder? Two reasons: 1) Keith Elison (Minnesota’s AG) decided that he would take over the case. He saw to it that Chauvin would be seen as racist and would be convicted. 2) Chauvin was convicted not based on evidence, but on political and media driven pressure. The public convicted him! This sounds to me an awful lot like Jesus’ trial. Pilot rendered Jesus guilty based only on what the crowd wanted. They said, Crucify Him! So He was!

Like I said, I am no fan of Chauvin, but I am disappointed in this country and in my state of Minnesota, that we will sentence a person based not on evidence but on popular opinion. Where is the justice?

My writing

I’m not presently writing any books. I’ve been going back and re-writing—editing. Truthfully, I’m kind of discouraged. I like to write, but not many are buying. I may look into a different self-publishing company, one that is more Christian based. Lulu is open for anything. I also need more money and more direction and support. I can’t do it all myself—which is what I have been doing. Enough complaining!

My reading

I would like to write a book on heaven. But before I start I need to do more reading on the subject. I read the book Heaven, by Randy Alcorn and now I am reading a book on heaven by John MacArthur. So far, I don’t like it—too negative. He spends too much time in telling the false teaching of heaven. I already know that. I want to know what the truth is about heaven. I may have to just do my own Bible Study, to go through the entire Bible and see what it says. That’s the best way anyway.

I’m also reading a book about William Tyndale. I’m enjoying it. He lived in a difficult time and place—in the 1500’s in England and also Germany. He was brilliant. He was so dedicated to his work of translating the Bible into English, from Latin and Greek, and he also examined Luther’s German translation. He wanted the common man to have a bible to read in English. Since the Catholic Church was against his work and against his teaching, he was always moving around from place to place—hiding. They eventually labeled him a heretic and at the end was burned at the stake.

I am only halfway done with the book so that will not come until the last few pages. Terrible to think about!

I will end my complaints here. I hope I will have a better day—and that you will too.

Boogaloo: Terrorism in Minnesota

If you have been hearing that the George Floyd protest is more that just local concerned people, here is proof. I read today in my morning newspaper, the Pioneer Press, how Federal authorities in Minnesota caught up with two young men, Michael Solomon from New Brighton, MN, and Benjamin Teeter from North Carolina, who are part of a radical anti-government terrorist group called Boogaloo, and were operating within the George Floyd protest group, or, you might say that they were piggy backing off of the group.

Generally speaking, this group is a loosely organized anti-government movement with the goal of starting a second American Civil war. And their method is to invade protest groups—wherever they find them—and then stir up the group to riot.

According to Wikipedia, their beliefs are not all the same. Some of them absolutely condemn racism, but others within the same group are white supremacists and Neo-Nazis. So, it seems that somehow, they have managed to unify under the banner of violence against American authority—though many ironically carry the American flag. I guess they have a different idea of what America should be.

Of course, Boogaloo is just one example of similar anti-American government groups. There are many others, maybe hundreds (with Black Lives Matter and Antifa being the most well-known), who likewise use peaceful protest groups as their base of operations; and then they will use various means to stir up protest members to riot: by vulgar speeches, throwing rocks and bricks, fire bombs and even by shooting guns.

Okay, back to the newspaper article. Apparently, these two young men (thugs) who are in this crazy Boogaloo group were interacting with an individual during the aftermath of the George Floyd incident concerning what their goals were, etc., and this individual later reported them to the FBI. Then about a month later an FBI person (or persons) posing as members of Hamas managed to get much more information from them. (I imagine that they were boasting about all they were planning to do and were not too cautious about who they were talking to.)

Here is what the FBI found regarding these two young men:

  • They espouse a violent ideology and plan to overthrow the US government.
  • They have views aligned with those of Hamas and they expressed an interest in being mercenaries for Hamas.
  • In addition to carrying firearms, they possess large quantities of ammunition.
  • They talked about committing acts of violence against police.
  • They have a desire to destroy government buildings and monuments. They said they were thinking of blowing up a courthouse in Minnesota, and also thinking of killing certain politicians.
  • They expressed an interest in making automatic weapons for the group.
  • They have a desire to attack Israel and also US soldiers.

Why So Much Rioting?

We saw the riots start just a few days after George Floyd was killed by Derek Chauvin, a bad cop in Minneapolis, Minnesota. It began by protest marches, protesting abusive policeman against black people. Almost immediately Black Lives Matter got involved and then also members of Antifa arrived from many locations and paid by rich people like George Soros and others. But BLM and Antifa are not the only groups involved. There are many others.

Where did these radical groups get their start? What is their belief system, and what motivates them?  I suppose many are motivated by money, a lot of it. They work as professionals. And I suppose they are trained and educated too, but I don’t know where. I do know that they (the main trailblazers) have been around for a long time, as long as Communism has been around. They have had a plan for Russia, Cuba, China, North Korea, Vietnam, and the latest is Venezuela. And they also have a plan for the United States. And now it is happening. All the riots you see is part of it. It’s the tear down part. They plan to tear down everything: property, businesses, our system of law, our government, our families, everything.  And they plan to replace it with socialism, or Communism.

And what do they say is their belief system? Well, they say it is righteousness and justice for all. But you need to know that it is not true justice. They call it social justice. It sounds good, but it’s not. It is far different than true justice. True justice is a justice for each individual, measured by God’s righteous standard, according to His righteous law. But social justice is measured according to the ideas of socialism. It is a system that distributes all wealth and property evenly to all people no matter how hard they work for it. And that redistribution is done by force; all people will be forced to conform to societies demands. There is no individualism. All are the same. And there is no family as we know it, and no personal God. All is done for the state and for the good of all. I suppose in some way it may sound good, at least unifying; but as we know from how it is in Communist countries, it just doesn’t work and is very depressive—without freedom or individualism.

But what about those who demonstrate, who do it because they truly do care about black lives and about building a less abusive police department and a safer neighborhood? Well, I think there are many in that group, but unfortunately, most of them are being deceived and used and overrun by the radicals in BLM and Antifa and other groups who are rioting only for the cause of Marxism. And they are using African Americans to do their dirty work. And sadly, all rioters in the end will find themselves enslaved to the devil and guilty.

I want to urge anyone reading this to just stop rioting and submit yourself to God and to His holy word. Let the past go. Learn to forgive and move on. Believe that the system (our constitution) we have is good and was established by God and good men and women who believed God. And if one of your people is killed, pray for that family and for the one who killed him, and then commit it to God and to our system of law. Never take revenge into your own hands. God said, “vengeance is mine.” In the end all who are guilty will be punished.

The Minnesota Problem: A Failure at the Top

Rioters have burnt down many buildings in Minneapolis.
Rioters take over Target stores and do much damage.

It was so sad to see those few cops badly abuse and kill George Floyd. They all should have been arrested and charged for murder immediately. We all saw what happened. There was no doubt about what happened. They murdered that poor man.

We all were stunned and angered, and what Mayor Jacob Frey said about it didn’t help at all. He inflamed the situation. He immediately declared that it was racial hatred, white against black, when there was no evidence of it. So, before long protesting began. At first, it was about justice; but very soon an evil riotous nature rose up in many hearts and things quickly got out of control. What began as a protest for the killing of George Floyd soon turned into mindless rioting and venting of anger. Here are few relevant quotes:

Looting is not protesting. Burning down homes and businesses is not protesting.

The thugs are dishonoring the memory of George Floyd.

The rioters have nothing to do with George Floyd.

But why wasn’t the rioting stopped at the start? Why was it allowed to continue? Here are a few reasons:

Lack of Leadership. Minneapolis has a total lack of leadership: a very weak and radical left Mayor—Jacob Frey.

Criminal friendly policies. Progressive Democrats are incapable of keeping their people safe, because they have criminal-friendly policies that are pathetic, that are dangerous, and now we are seeing the results not only in Minneapolis, but in many other cities.

Lack of courage in fighting crime. Democrat Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey and Democrat Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz should resign because they gave up a police precinct. They told their police officers to flee a precinct and it burned down by the rioters. They both should resign and be replaced by somebody who can protect the people.

Other relevant quotes:

In Democrat cities you can get arrested for opening a business but not for looting one.

We need to fight and arrest the bad guys [not let them take over].

All the cities that are defended so poorly are run by liberal Democrats.

What we need to do?

We need to clearly see the situation as it is and do something. All Minnesotans need to see that they need better, stronger leadership. They need to kick out the Democrats who are clearly tearing the state apart. They need to elect good Republican leaders who care for the people, root out crime, and do a better job at governing.
