Slaves of Depravity

I have been reading from 2 Peter. Chapter two has got my attention and I will try to bring it out. I’m not sure if Peter is trying to pinpoint any particular group or just generally speaking of depravity. What comes to my mind most is the gay crowd, those who call themselves the LGBTQ community. They are probably the most depraved, and most of chapter two seems to fit them. Also, it seems to fit the context, where Peter began talking of how God had to destroy the ancient world because of their sin, and also of Sodom and Gomorrah. I will just go through the chapter and highlight a few verses and show how it seems that God is speaking to us today on the same type of thing.

Starting at verses 6-9.  If we think this world is like the ancient world we should be warned, but also take heart. He will keep us who are righteous like He did Noah. But He will also punish those wicked like He did before.

From verse 12. They are like unreasoning animals, creatures of instinct. I would say that all those who are of the porn industry and users, and of the gay pride group are like animals. They don’t stop to reason what they are doing and what the consequences will be. They just follow their lustful desires.

From verses 13-14. They seem to get pleasure in carousing in broad daylight—reveling in their pleasures—eyes full of adultery. I especially see this in the pride parades where you see all kinds of lewd things, anything that will shock you. It gives them pleasure because it breaks down their consciences so that they have no sense of what is right and wrong. They are just being rebellious toward God—as a rebellious child.

From verses 18-19. By appealing to the lustful desires of the flesh, they entice people; they promise them freedom, while they themselves are slaves of depravity. This is so sad. They think they live in freedom, freedom to do whatever they want. But in doing what they do, they are enslaving themselves to depravity. They are becoming addicted to it. They are unaware that their addiction to sensuality is destroying their body.

In 1 Cor. 6:18 Paul tells us that “whoever sins sexually, sins against their own body.” Yes, that sin slowly destroys their body. Many end up with anxiety and depression problems, and mental disorders. And I am afraid for all of the pride people. They are destroying themselves—mentally, emotionally, and physically; and they are making it harder for themselves to repent and come to the truth. Though God can still save them.

What God Says about LGBTQ and Transgenderism

I have been somewhat surprised to hear of the support of trans-people lately, and generally all the LGBTQ people. Of course, since I am a bible believing Christian, I have a different perspective on it. All this kind of behavior is forbidden in the bible. In all of Paul’s teachings, sexual relations outside of marriage (of a man and a woman) is considered immoral. And in Romans chapter one, Paul explains how when a person rejects God and is not thankful to God, his heart is darkened and he will dishonor his own body and will do things that are not natural; and they will burn in their lust for one another—a man for a man and a woman for a woman. And God will give them over to a reprobate mind (Rom. 1:21-28).

No person is born a homosexual. They may have an inclination toward it (because of the sin nature), but they still have a choice to do what is right according to the bible, the word of God. We have seen in the history of the world and of nations how that when people have turned away from God and have slidden into all kinds of sexual perversion, that there is an implosion. This happened in Rome, as well as in Greece, Egypt and Babylon. Their immorality destroyed them.

We have seen also, in two cases, how when people became so sinful—particularly in homosexuality—that God Himself had to step in to destroy them. The first case, as you know, was with the great flood. Their sin was so bad that God decided to start over with only Noah and his family. In Genesis 6:5 we read, “Then the LORD saw that the wickedness of man was great on the earth, and that every intent of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually.”

Then a few hundred years later a similar thing happened in the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah. In Genesis 18: 20 the LORD said, “The outcry of Sodom and Gomorrah is indeed great, and their sin is exceedingly grave.”

In chapter nineteen is a story of the kind of homosexual wickedness that was in Sodom. Terrible! In verses 24 through 28 is recorded what happened.

Then the Lord rained on Sodom and Gomorrah brimstone and fire from the Lord out of heaven, 25 and He overthrew those cities, and all the valley, and all the inhabitants of the cities, and what grew on the ground. 26 But his wife, from behind him, looked back, and she became a pillar of salt.

27 Now Abraham arose early in the morning and went to the place where he had stood before the Lord; 28 and he looked down toward Sodom and Gomorrah, and toward all the land of the valley, and he saw, and behold, the smoke of the land ascended like the smoke of a furnace.

All homosexuality and what they call LGBTQ is entirely sinful and against God. It is dishonoring to the body and a total rejection of God and His creation. And this transgender movement is horrible—trying to change the way God made them. It is also dishonoring to God and to ourselves. These people have lost their way and are sick. They need help—to accept the way God made them. They in no way need to be encouraged to change themselves. This movement is entirely evil.

Moving Toward A Different America: More Transgenderism, Less Christianity

I was listening to a conversation between Newt Gingrich and Tucker Carlson today, and the question came up as to why Biden and the Democrats want to hurt America, because everything the Dems want will hurt this country in measurable ways. For instance, why are they letting in illegals without any health checks? Many of them would or have tested positive for covid-19; we know that. Newt Gingrich said that they want a different America, that they despise America the way it is. They want an America with more transgenderism and with less Christianity. They want a socialist America, not a capitalistic America.

It sounds to me that they want to spend lots of money on whatever they want, like more marijuana, etc. And it sure seems like America (and the World) is sinking into what it once was before the flood, when “every intent of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually” (Gen. 6:5). And with all the emphasis on the welcoming in of transgenders and the LGBTQ’s, America is becoming more like Sodom and Gomorrah, and like what we see in Romans 1, where God gives man over to his degrading passion or homosexuality, and how his mind becomes depraved. Yes, I see that before long, if America does not repent of its sins, we will collapse just as Rome did.

I also see from Bible prophecy, that the world will merge into globalism. That means that every country must give up its individualism. We are hearing now from the voices of the Great Reset and from Big Tech. Yes, they are now working toward a one world government and also toward a single religion for all. Then soon the Antichrist will come into view and all the tribulation that follows.

So, if this globalism is coming soon for the world, then we know why America is giving up its autonomy and its Christianity and its freedoms (I am speaking in the sense of following Bible prophecy).

However, lets pray that many will choose to repent of sins and follow Christ. The time is short and we wait expectantly for His coming.
