War with the Devil

ICE operations in this country is war with the Devil. Everything they do—whether they know it or not—is to reduce evil in this country and to make room for God’s peace and goodness.

So why are so many people unhappy with them and protesting them?  Here are a few points.

1. They don’t fully realize what ICE is doing—their mission: to rid the country of evil.

2. They are unhappy with ICE because they are disrupting their carefree lifestyle. Many don’t care about what others are doing, even if it is criminal. They just want peace for themselves, even if it involves sins. And they don’t want anyone around spying on their so-called freedom.

3. They don’t want to have any part in or be influenced in any way in what ICE is trying to do—to clean up the country.

4. Many are choosing neutrality over war. They may be thinking that no evil influence will come their way. At the beginning of WWII Norway went that way. They knew that Hitler was coming, but they thought they were safe. They were wrong. Hitler’s war machine came right in at night and easily overran them. If they had built up their defenses and strengthened their military, WWII would have been over much earlier—and would have saved a lot of bloodshed. Peace through strength is always a superior strategy when dealing with evil forces. Trump, with his ICE troops, are doing so much good by destroying evil, even if people are being disrupted from their easy lifestyle. We need to support them and pray for them. It’s not an easy job, but it’s got to be done for the good of the country.

My Thoughts on Minneapolis Media

For a long time, I have been commenting on the New Testament book of 1st and 2nd Peter. But today I have an urge to talk a bit about what’s been happening in my state of Minnesota. Many would say it’s a mess, or a tragedy. I don’t know what everybody’s saying, but I do watch the news. Our governor and our mayor wants ICE out! And all the TV media seems to be slanted that way too. But when I go to church, what they say is just the opposite. And our President and his people think ICE is doing a good job—rounding up so many bad guys in this country, even in Minnesota.

Okay, what caused me to write this blog was what I heard about Paul Allen, a Minnesota sports commentator. He just recently, jokingly said on his regular KAFAN radio show, something like, “I wonder if the ICE protesters are getting paid more for going out in this cold weather.” I don’t have a copy of that newspaper, but I remember that everyone in that radio station was shocked by his comment. They couldn’t believe that he actually thought some of the ICE protestors were paid. Or maybe they were shocked that he was revealing what he thought—because after all, a left-wing radio station would never reveal those secrets. Well, what really hurt me was what Paul Allen did next. He cried like a baby and profusely apologized for what He said. Why? I thought. If he really believed what He said, why apologize?  After all, I think most people know that many of the protestors are paid. People aren’t that stupid. Or maybe they are, or just blind. But of course, we all know that Paul needs to keep his job, so he did what most people would do. But it is sad.

Okay, let me say more about our Minneapolis media concerning ICE. They are either all left-wing Democrats, or they are simply told what to say, or both. I thought news people were suppose to just report the news. It sure seems that they are all against ICE and want them out! That they are doing more damage than good. They seem to ignore the clear statistics that since ICE came murders and crime are way down—all over the country.

I realize, and we should all realize that police work is hard and things go wrong. Fighting crime isn’t easy. It’s a war out there, and people will get hurt and killed. Maybe even some good people. But you don’t just quit and go home because some things go wrong. You keep at it. I think on the whole ICE is doing a good job—especially because of the difficult circumstances they are facing, having to contend with all the protestors, even paid ones! Professional protestors! And there was many of those that were working at the Jan. 6th Capitol riot. People should know that!

God’s Message for All Who Fear ICE – From Romans 13:1-5

Obey the government, for God is the one who has put it there. There is no government anywhere that God has not placed in power. 2 So those who refuse to obey the laws of the land are refusing to obey God, and punishment will follow. 3 For the policeman does not frighten people who are doing right; but those doing evil will always fear him. So if you don’t want to be afraid, keep the laws and you will get along well. 4 The policeman is sent by God to help you. But if you are doing something wrong, of course you should be afraid, for he will have you punished. He is sent by God for that very purpose. 5 Obey the laws, then, for two reasons: first, to keep from being punished, and second, just because you know you should. (TLB)

These words of Scripture apply to us today for all who fear ICE. They are here, placed in power from God. They are here as policeman to enforce our laws. If you have not kept the law then you should be afraid. But if you have not done anything wrong you have no reason to fear.

Domestic Terrorism Against ICE in Minneapolis, Minnesota

Wednesday morning in Minneapolis a woman was shot and killed by an ICE agent as she was driving away from her own act of terrorism against ICE officers. An article in Newsmax described the incident.

An Immigration and Customs Enforcement officer shot and killed a Minneapolis driver on Wednesday during the Trump administration’s latest immigration crackdown on a major American city — a shooting that federal officials said was an act of self-defense.

The woman was shot in front of a family member during a traffic stop in a residential neighborhood south of downtown Minneapolis. 

The victim was identified by her mother as Twin Cities resident Renee Nicole Good, The Minnesota Star Tribune reported. 

The Immigration and Customs Enforcement officer shot the woman in her vehicle, Department of Homeland Security spokeswoman Tricia McLaughlin said in a statement, calling it an act of “domestic terrorism.”

“An ICE officer, fearing for his life, the lives of his fellow law enforcement and the safety of the public, fired defensive shots. He used his training and saved his own life and that of his fellow officers,” the DHS statement read. 

The ⁠woman appeared to ‍be ‍blocking the ⁠roadway with her car, Minneapolis Police Chief Brian O’Hara said during a press conference. At ​some point, O’Hara told reporters, the ‍vehicle was approached by an ⁠ICE officer and began to drive off, making contact with an agent, video showed. Then at least ⁠two ​shots ⁠were fired.

President Donald Trump ripped into what he called “Radical Left” violence in a Truth Social post on the incident.  

Trump said he viewed video of the incident and called it “a horrible thing to watch,” while accusing activists of escalating attacks on immigration agents and law enforcement officers across the country.

“I have just viewed the clip of the event which took place in Minneapolis, Minnesota,” Trump wrote, adding that “the woman screaming was, obviously, a professional agitator.”

Videos taken by bystanders with different vantage points and posted to social media show an officer approaching an SUV, demanding the driver open the door and grabbing the handle.

The SUV begins to pull forward and a different ICE officer standing in front of the vehicle pulls his weapon and immediately fires at least two shots into the SUV at close range, jumping back as the vehicle moves toward him.

The SUV then sped into two cars parked on a curb nearby before crashing to a stop. Witnesses screamed obscenities, expressing shock at what they’d seen.

O’Hara said the deceased suspect was a 37-year-old white woman. He said she had been shot in the head.

Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem, during a visit to Texas, described the incident as an “act of domestic terrorism” carried out against ICE officers by a woman who “attempted to run them over and rammed them with her vehicle. An officer of ours acted quickly and defensively, shot, to protect himself and the people around him.”

However, Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey said DHS’ explanation for the shooting was a “garbage narrative.”

“They are already trying to spin this as an action of self-defense. Having seen the video myself, I wanna tell everybody directly, that is bull—-,” Frey told reporters.

The ICE officers who were hurt are expected to make full recoveries, DHS said in the statement. 

There were calls on social media to prosecute the officer who shot the driver. But Daniel Borgertpoepping, a spokesperson for the Hennepin County Attorney’s Office, said such decisions wouldn’t be made until an investigation is finished.

“We have jurisdiction to bring charges, as do the feds. It’s a little bit of a complicated interplay but the bottom line is yes, we have jurisdiction to bring criminal charges,” Borgertpoepping said

The shooting marks a dramatic escalation of the latest in a series of immigration enforcement operations in major American cities under the Trump administration.

The Twin Cities of Minneapolis and St. Paul have been on edge since DHS announced Tuesday that it had launched the operation, with 2,000 agents and officers expected to participate in the crackdown tied in part to allegations of fraud involving Somali residents.

A large throng of protesters gathered at the scene after Wednesday’s shooting, where they vented their anger at the local and federal officers who were there, including Gregory Bovino, a senior U.S. Customs and Border Patrol official who has been the face of crackdowns in Los Angeles, Chicago and elsewhere.

The area where the shooting occurred is just a few blocks from some of the oldest immigrant markets and a mile from where George Floyd was killed while resisting arrest by police in 2020.

It is clear to me that the woman who was shot was engaged in domestic terrorism against ICE—unlike what mayor Frey said about it. We should know that ICE have been place by our government as authority figures who have been charged with rounding up and bringing to justice all those who are in this country illegally and who are criminals. They should be respected as Federal authority figures that must have our respect and obedience.  

In Romans 13:1-7 we are given the charge of how we are to respect our governing authorities—which includes ICE agents.

13 Every person is to be in subjection to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except from God, and those which exist are established by God. 2 Therefore whoever resists authority has opposed the ordinance of God; and they who have opposed will receive condemnation upon themselves. 3 For rulers are not a cause of fear for good behavior, but for evil. Do you want to have no fear of authority? Do what is good and you will have praise from the same; 4 for it is a minister of God to you for good. But if you do what is evil, be afraid; for it does not bear the sword for nothing; for it is a minister of God, an avenger who brings wrath on the one who practices evil. 5 Therefore it is necessary to be in subjection, not only because of wrath, but also for conscience’ sake. 6 For because of this you also pay taxes, for rulers are servants of God, devoting themselves to this very thing. 7 Render to all what is due them: tax to whom tax is due; custom to whom custom; fear to whom fear; honor to whom honor.

Where Has All Our Money Gone?

I watched a very enlightening and shocking You Tube video the other day. It was a speech by Senator Kennedy on what has been found at USAID (Agency for International Development). This agency is giving your tax dollars to certain organizations around the world. Some people are very upset that Musk is allowed to look at this information. But I think the American taxpayer has a right to know where a good chunk of their taxes are going. Would you like to know? I would. Well, here are just a few places where money is going.

  • To Afghanistan
  • To Yemen
  • To Syria
  • To support electric vehicles in Viet Nam
  • To a transgender clinic in India
  • 1.5 million to a Serbian LGTB group
  • 164 million to support radical organizations around the word, 122 million to terrorist organizations.
  • Millions to organizations in Gaza, controlled by Hamas
  • 2 Million for sex change operations in Guatemala
  • 20 million to produce a new Sesame Street show in Iraq
  • 4.5 million to combat misinformation in Kazakhstan
  • 10 million of meals to an Alkaid terrorist group
  • 7.9 million to a journalist in Shirl Anka to teach people to avoid binary gender language
  • 1.5 million to rebuild Cuban media
  • 1.5 million to promote LGTB in Jamaca
  • 3.9 million for LGTB courses in Macedonia
  • 8.3 million dollars for equity and inclusion classes in Napal

Senator Kenedy was quick to say that some of our money may be very well spent. But a lot isn’t. I think USAID should be changed to USAIC (US Agency for International Corruption). It is bad enough that we are using our tax dollars for things we don’t agree with, but it is doubly bad that America is in the process of corrupting many other nations. It is shocking!!

I give my praise to Elon Musk for digging out this stuff. I do hope and pray that much of USAID is dismantled. I am in full agreement with firing all of the 10,000 working there. We cannot let this kind of stuff continue.

Freedom in Jesus or Freedom to Sin

When some politicians talk of freedom

Freedom to control their own bodies

That is, freedom to get an abortion

Or freedom to have a sex change

Or freedom to protest by

burning down buildings

Is that really the freedom

that our founding fathers spoke of

And that God grants us in Jesus?

No!

True freedom is a freedom to

Believe in God and to

Worship Him as He desires us to

And as we really desire to.

This is real freedom because

It frees us from the chains of sin and bondage

A freedom Jesus paid for with His own blood.

But the freedom of our rights that

So many are speaking of today to abort babies

and to have sex changes

is really a freedom to sin.

But that kind of freedom is no freedom at all

Is it?

It is a false freedom

It is a freedom that brings us more and

More into slavery and bondage.

I’ve been reading the story of Corrie ten Boom. I was surprised at the information told regarding Hitler and the Third Reich—from Corrie’s perspective. Back then they didn’t have up-to-date news as we do now, so the takeover of Hitler was quite a shock to the European people. Here are a few quotes.

  • A growing evil appeared on the eastern horizon…a socialism of the most heartless kind (this seems much like we feel now in America).
  • It is called the National Socialist German workers Nazi party.
  • They were called progressives (sound familiar?). In this Nazi party the poor, the old, the feebleminded, and the handicapped were enemies of progress. And soon the Jews became enemies too.
  • The leader among the Nazi party, Hitler, appeared laughable at first, comical, then maddening.
  • This man Hitler sounded like the devil himself…he was afraid of no one…he was diabolically shrewd.
  • They walked into Czechoslovakia and took over the entire country. They invaded Poland, Norway, and Denmark.
  • The Dutch people of Haarlem (where Corrie lived) walked the streets in a daze. Within two days the Dutch army surrendered.
  • The Germans were very well-organized.

Of course, the worst of it was quite hidden from everyone—the concentration camps and the brutal extermination of so many Jews. In my reading, I’m just getting into the parts when they were hiding Jews behind fake walls. It was quite an operation—a labor of love!

My Work

I just finished a long painting job, taking all of August and into Sept. The job had good points and bad point. I’ll get the bad points over first. There were a lot of high areas where ladders and roof jacks were involved and as a result I now have some rib injuries; but it is healing up. And painting the high fence around the yard was not fun—trying to get in behind the flowers and tall bushes.

But the good points I think far out-weighed the bad points. The people, which I have known for over thirty years, are very kind., They invited me for lunch every day, and they also were very complimentary of all my work and paid me well. I will keep them in my prayers as they are very old. I have been retired for a about ten years—but still working. Maybe now, after my rib injuries, I will start taking my retirement more serious

Plans To Build The Third Temple

My last blog, if you have been following along, was about the war of Gog and Magog. And I am suggesting here that after that war Israel will be starting to make plans to build the third temple—with the Antichrist wanting to take a leadership roll in it. But none of us really know for sure all the details of what will happen or the order of the events. But anyway, here is my post…

 As the people of Israel (after the Ezekiel war) are busy burying the dead bodies and are in the process of burning the weapons, they will have a chance to think about what comes next. Of course, we know now how we think about the Antichrist—he is evil! But the Jews and the world at that time don’t know him. They think he is wonderful and a man of peace. Since he and the EU were not involved in the war, and were in fact against it, they probably will see him as a peacemaker and a good man. They will also see him as a religious person—maybe even a Christian—since he will be taking steps to be unified with the new global religion. More importantly, he will at this time be cultivating a friendship with Israel, and very soon will announce his seven-year peace plan and the building of the third temple—and I’m sure the rumors are spreading.

As for the temple, what do you think Israel and the world are thinking about it? Are they in favor of it?

Let’s take the Jews first. There is quite a mixed bag of Jewish beliefs. Mainstream Orthodox Jews, which is by far the largest group, want the temple, but they believe it can only be built by the coming Messiah. Another group called Ultra-orthodox Judaism, a much smaller group, believe they already have a command of God (Ex. 25:8) to build the temple. And there are already several organizations that are in the process of carrying out this order. Then there are a few more liberal denominations that see no need for the temple—and especially for animal sacrifices.

True Christians, of course, see no need for a temple, since every Christian believes that he is a temple and God dwells in him (1 Cor. 3;16). Even so, we see the building of a temple as prophetical; and so, it is a sign that His coming is near.

The Antichrist may not know all of what his future is, but I’m sure Satan will fill him in as to what his role is; and so, he will have somewhat of a plan to sign a peace agreement and also to take charge of building the temple for the Jews. He may even know what he will do half-way through the seven-year peace plan.

There is so much more we could say about the progress made for the building of the temple and about all the obstacles they are encountering; but we will put that off for another time.

However, I’m thinking that if mainstream Orthodox Judaism comes to believe that this great man of peace is their Messiah, everything may very quickly fall into place.

Slaves of Depravity

I have been reading from 2 Peter. Chapter two has got my attention and I will try to bring it out. I’m not sure if Peter is trying to pinpoint any particular group or just generally speaking of depravity. What comes to my mind most is the gay crowd, those who call themselves the LGBTQ community. They are probably the most depraved, and most of chapter two seems to fit them. Also, it seems to fit the context, where Peter began talking of how God had to destroy the ancient world because of their sin, and also of Sodom and Gomorrah. I will just go through the chapter and highlight a few verses and show how it seems that God is speaking to us today on the same type of thing.

Starting at verses 6-9.  If we think this world is like the ancient world we should be warned, but also take heart. He will keep us who are righteous like He did Noah. But He will also punish those wicked like He did before.

From verse 12. They are like unreasoning animals, creatures of instinct. I would say that all those who are of the porn industry and users, and of the gay pride group are like animals. They don’t stop to reason what they are doing and what the consequences will be. They just follow their lustful desires.

From verses 13-14. They seem to get pleasure in carousing in broad daylight—reveling in their pleasures—eyes full of adultery. I especially see this in the pride parades where you see all kinds of lewd things, anything that will shock you. It gives them pleasure because it breaks down their consciences so that they have no sense of what is right and wrong. They are just being rebellious toward God—as a rebellious child.

From verses 18-19. By appealing to the lustful desires of the flesh, they entice people; they promise them freedom, while they themselves are slaves of depravity. This is so sad. They think they live in freedom, freedom to do whatever they want. But in doing what they do, they are enslaving themselves to depravity. They are becoming addicted to it. They are unaware that their addiction to sensuality is destroying their body.

In 1 Cor. 6:18 Paul tells us that “whoever sins sexually, sins against their own body.” Yes, that sin slowly destroys their body. Many end up with anxiety and depression problems, and mental disorders. And I am afraid for all of the pride people. They are destroying themselves—mentally, emotionally, and physically; and they are making it harder for themselves to repent and come to the truth. Though God can still save them.

What Shall the People Do?

What shall the people do when its leaders are corrupt, when its judges are evil? What shall we do?

We should cling to God and listen to His voice. We should do what we know is His will. We should continue in the word and in prayer and be kind to our neighbors. When the world around us is sinking in sand look to God who alone can save us. Pray concerning all things and all people. Then trust Him to do as He pleases. He will put things right; He will accomplish His will.

So, as the world of evil marches on, we must lift our head and be blameless. They may be crooked and perverse, yet we must shine as lights of righteousness and hold forth the word of life until the day of Christ.
