This heron as you can see has very long legs. He also has a large beak. The better to fish with. But the thing I noticed most is the scraggily hair under his neck. Very unkept. He looks to have a good fishing spot off this dock.

Looks like that heron has a dance routine! Thanks for these splendid photographs, Stephen. As a painter yourself, you surely appreciate God’s artistry (in this case, great blue heron plumage) moreso than most.
