According to a US New and World Report article, Jews are being trained for service as priests for the third temple. Unfortunately their service will probably not last for more than 3 1/3 years, and it will be under the harsh rule of the antichrist.

Many scholars believe that this temple will be built during the first 3 1/2 years of the 7 year tribulation period. Then right at the midpoint of the tribulation the antichrist will take over the temple. 2 Thess. 2:4 tells us that “he sits as God in the temple of God, showing himself that he is God.” I would hate to be one of those priests during this time. I can’t imagine what the antichrist would require of them. But I think this 3rd temple will only last for 3 1/2 years until Christ returns. There is no indication in the Bible what will…
